our approach is transparent and there are no hidden costs: participants book time with their coach and pay by the hour for guidance, typically completing a new website build in 15-20 hours.

All you need is a decent laptop or personal computer with sound, a microphone so we can hear you and a webcam so we can see you. Headphones will be an advantage if you want to keep the noise down at your end. A good, reliable internet connection is also critical.

What equipment do I need to participate?
Participants will need a decent laptop or personal computer with sound, a microphone so we can hear you and a webcam so we can see you. Headphones will be an advantage if you want to keep the noise down at your end.
A good, reliable internet connection is also critical. Contact us if you’d like to do a quick test.
Do I need to be good with computers to participate?
You don’t need to be “good” but it is important that participants are comfortable using their laptop or computer.
Common tasks we will perform include typing, using a web browser, and accessing, editing and saving documents and images on your computer and/or USB stick.
Do you offer other website building options?
Yes, we also offer regular small group courses online and we also build websites ourselves for anyone who doesn’t have the time or interest to learn with their own hands. Please contact us for details and pricing.
Which platform are we learning and why?
Participants will learn how to use the popular Squarespace website building platform.
We have been using Squarespace since 2014 and regionalrising.com.au is built with Squarespace. We have built dozens of websites on the platform and supported many people with different levels of digital literacy to build a website with their own hands!
Squarespace is template driven (ideal for learners) and is well known for its stunning designs. Importantly, the learning curve is very accessible for people who are comfortable using a laptop/computer and it is affordable.
It requires next to no IT “know how” and provides great learning resources and support by email and live chat.
Can I bring a friend for support?
Yes, you can bring a friend at no extra cost to support you to build your website or provide moral support.

How does 1:1 coaching work?
Our one-to-one coaching costs $100/hour and projects are typically completed within 15-20 hours. While no two businesses or projects are the same the time to complete a website can vary.
In a similar way to a relationship with a physiotherapist participants pay for their session on the day and take an appointment for the follow-up session or sessions (if locking in dates).
Our goal is to provide you with the guidance and tools to allow you to work on your website in your own time outside of our sessions. We guide you during our sessions and you can chip away at what we’ve taught you and complete tasks in your own time. You can keep your costs down if you work on your project between sessions.
Are there any additional costs?
This service does not include:
your annual subscription to Squarespace to have your website hosted on its platform. At the time of writing (Jan 2024) a personal website costs $264/year if you pay month to month (it’s 27% cheaper if you can afford to pay the annual cost upfront. ie. less than $200). Business and Commerce websites cost more.
the cost of a website domain name. You can bring your own domain if you have one or you can register one through us. A .com.au domain costs around $50 for a two year period.
